Abstract

ABSTRACT

The increasingly competitive job market demands that Vocational High School (SMK) graduates possess competencies that are not only technical but also the ability to prepare job application documents and communicate in English. One of the challenges faced by vocational high school students is a lack of understanding of how to prepare an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)-based Curriculum Vitae (CV), English-language job interview skills, and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support career preparation. This community service activity aims to improve the competency of PGRI Bagelen Vocational High School students in preparing ATS-based CVs and conducting English-language job interview simulations using AI. The methods used included outreach, training, demonstrations, practice, mentoring, interview simulations, and evaluation through pre- and post-tests. The results showed a 36% increase in participants' knowledge of ATS, a 40% increase in CV quality based on the assessment rubric, and a 32% increase in English-language job interview skills. Participants also demonstrated high enthusiasm for utilizing AI as a learning tool. This activity has had a positive impact on vocational high school students' job readiness for the digital era recruitment process.
