<p>A birth companion is a person who provides support and assists in meeting the physical, psychological, and informational needs of women during labor and childbirth. Birth companions need to be prepared during pregnancy to enable them to perform their roles effectively. Preliminary survey results showed that 8 out of 10 pregnant women were not aware of the roles and benefits of birth companions. This community service activity aimed to improve pregnant women's knowledge regarding birth companion preparation as an effort to enhance childbirth readiness. The activity was conducted using a lecture method supported by leaflet media. The knowledge level of pregnant women was assessed using pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The results demonstrated an increase in pregnant women's knowledge scores regarding birth companions following the educational intervention. Through this activity, pregnant women are expected to be able to select appropriate birth companions and optimize the implementation of maternal classes by involving prospective birth companions. Consequently, birth companions are expected to possess adequate knowledge and skills to provide support during childbirth.</p>Ulfah Hidayati

<p>Malnutrition in toddlers remains a public health problem in Indonesia, impacting physical growth and cognitive development, and increasing the risk of illness and death in children. Parents' limited knowledge regarding balanced nutrition, parenting practices, and growth monitoring are contributing factors to malnutrition in toddlers. Therefore, ongoing support efforts are needed to support families in improving the nutritional status of toddlers. This community service activity aims to improve parents' knowledge and skills in meeting the nutritional needs of toddlers and assist families in improving the nutritional status of toddlers experiencing malnutrition. The community service activity is implemented through an educational approach and support for families with toddlers with malnutrition. The methods used include identifying the nutritional status of toddlers through anthropometric measurements, counseling on balanced nutrition and the provision of supplementary feeding (PMT), demonstrations on preparing healthy menus appropriate to the toddler's age, and regular support and monitoring throughout the program. Evaluation is carried out by measuring the increase in parental knowledge and monitoring changes in the nutritional status of toddlers. The implementation of the activity shows an increase in parental knowledge and understanding of the importance of providing balanced nutrition for toddlers. Parents become more skilled at creating nutritious menus, providing age-appropriate foods, and regularly monitoring their children's growth through weighing and measuring. <p><em>Exclusive breastfeeding is a health intervention proven effective in improving infant health status and reducing infant morbidity and mortality. The Butuh Community Health Center (Puskesmas) in Purworejo Regency is a primary healthcare facility providing maternal and child health services, including care for pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, and newborns, as well as family planning services. Preliminary coordination with the health center revealed that some postpartum mothers faced difficulties with breastfeeding techniques, breast care, and managing lactation issues, alongside a lack of motivation to maintain exclusive breastfeeding for six months. The objective of this community service activity was to enable postpartum mothers to understand the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, correctly apply lactation management practices, and maintain the motivation to exclusively breastfeed for six months. The activity employed an educational approach using lectures supported by PowerPoint presentations and leaflets explaining exclusive breastfeeding and lactation management. Outcomes were assessed via pre- and post-tests, which showed an increase in the mothers' knowledge regarding exclusive breastfeeding and lactation management; the educational activity proceeded successfully, and there was also an increase in family involvement in supporting exclusive breastfeeding. In conclusion, the intervention resulted in improved knowledge among postpartum mothers regarding exclusive breastfeeding and lactation management, as well as increased family support.</em></p>Nurma Ika ZuliyantiPanti Setyarini

<p>Students' use of ChatGPT for academic writing often produces AI-hallucinated references: author names, titles, and DOIs that appear convincing yet never exist in any scientific database, threatening academic integrity. This community service activity aimed to design and test a custom chatbot, Academic Copilot, to minimize reference hallucination, improve the validity and traceability of sources, and provide a safe, academically accountable tool. The activity adopted the Design Science Research Methodology through three stages: needs analysis based on literature review, observation, and interviews; prompt engineering and personalization customization of ChatGPT applying Retrieval-Augmented Generation principles with cross-verification against Google Scholar, Crossref, Semantic Scholar, and OpenAlex; and deployment accompanied by User Acceptance Testing (UAT) involving 30 students. UAT results showed the instrument was valid (r-values 0.496–0.886, above the r-table value of 0.361) and reliable (Cronbach's Alpha 0.954). The overall acceptance score reached 4.26 out of 5, a very high category, with 90% of respondents in the high to very high categories. The Efficiency dimension recorded the highest score, while Reliability recorded the lowest score and variability, though still in the high category. These findings demonstrate that reference anti-hallucination mechanisms can be fully achieved through customization of an already widely available generative platform.</p>Abdullah Ghafur Hakim

<p><strong>ABSTRACT</strong></p> <p>The increasingly competitive job market demands that Vocational High School (SMK) graduates possess competencies that are not only technical but also the ability to prepare job application documents and communicate in English. One of the challenges faced by vocational high school students is a lack of understanding of how to prepare an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)-based Curriculum Vitae (CV), English-language job interview skills, and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support career preparation. This community service activity aims to improve the competency of PGRI Bagelen Vocational High School students in preparing ATS-based CVs and conducting English-language job interview simulations using AI. The methods used included outreach, training, demonstrations, practice, mentoring, interview simulations, and evaluation through pre- and post-tests. The results showed a 36% increase in participants' knowledge of ATS, a 40% increase in CV quality based on the assessment rubric, and a 32% increase in English-language job interview skills. Participants also demonstrated high enthusiasm for utilizing AI as a learning tool. <p>Kehamilan risiko tinggi memerlukan perhatian dan penanganan khusus dalam pelayanan kesehatan ibu dan anak karena memiliki kemungkinan terjadinya komplikasi yang dapat berdampak pada kondisi ibu maupun janin. Pemantauan kepada ibu hamil risiko tinggi dapat menekan komplikasi kehamilan, persalinan, hingga nifas. Tujuan dilakukan pengabdian masyarakat kepada ibu hamil risiko tinggi ini agar ibu mendapatkan pemantauan selama kehamilan, persalinan dan nifas.</p> <p>Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang ditujukan kepada ibu hamil telah dilaksanakan pada periode April 2026 hingga Mei 2026 di Puskesmas dengan melibatkan sebanyak 3 ibu hamil risiko tinggi yang datang untuk melakukan pemeriksaan kehamilan. Selama pelaksanaan kegiatan, dilakukan pendampingan, pemeriksaan, serta pemberian edukasi terkait kondisi kehamilan dan upaya pencegahan komplikasi yang mungkin terjadi. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan yang telah dilakukan, ditemukan bahwa dua ibu hamil memiliki faktor risiko berupa usia kehamilan lebih dari 35 tahun. Selain itu, terdapat dua kasus abortus yang memerlukan perhatian dan penanganan lebih lanjut sesuai dengan kondisi masing-masing pasien.</p> <p>Seluruh rangkaian kegiatan pengabdian berjalan dengan baik, lancar, dan mendapatkan respons positif dari para ibu hamil. Edukasi yang diberikan terkait kehamilan risiko tinggi, tanda bahaya kehamilan, persalinan, masa nifas, serta perawatan bayi baru lahir dapat diterima dan dipahami dengan baik oleh ibu. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini, diharapkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran ibu hamil terhadap pentingnya menjaga kesehatan selama kehamilan semakin meningkat. 2026-07-172026-07-1742Edukasi Kesehatan Reproduksi Berbasis Peer Educator untuk Meningkatkan Pengetahuan Remaja

<p>Remaja merupakan kelompok usia yang rentan terhadap berbagai permasalahan kesehatan reproduksi akibat keterbatasan pengetahuan dan kurangnya akses terhadap informasi yang benar. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan kesehatan reproduksi remaja adalah melalui edukasi berbasis <em>peer educator</em>, yaitu pemberian edukasi oleh teman sebaya yang telah memperoleh pelatihan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja mengenai kesehatan reproduksi melalui metode <em>peer educator</em> di SMK Bhakti Putra Bangsa Indonesia. Sasaran kegiatan adalah 30 siswa yang mengikuti edukasi kesehatan reproduksi. Metode yang digunakan meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan edukasi, diskusi interaktif, serta evaluasi menggunakan kuesioner <strong>pre-test</strong> dan <strong>post-test</strong> untuk mengukur tingkat pengetahuan peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa sebelum edukasi sebagian besar responden memiliki tingkat pengetahuan kategori cukup sebanyak 15 orang (50%), kategori baik sebanyak 9 orang (30%), dan kategori kurang sebanyak 6 orang (20%). Setelah diberikan edukasi berbasis <em>peer educator</em>, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan yang ditunjukkan dengan tidak adanya lagi responden pada kategori kurang (0%), sedangkan kategori baik meningkat menjadi 20 orang (66,7%) dan kategori cukup sebanyak 10 orang (33,3%). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa edukasi kesehatan reproduksi berbasis <em>peer educator</em> efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja mengenai kesehatan reproduksi. Oleh karena itu, metode <em>peer educator</em> dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu strategi promosi kesehatan yang berkelanjutan di lingkungan sekolah untuk meningkatkan literasi kesehatan reproduksi dan membentuk perilaku hidup sehat pada remaja.</p>Fetty Chandra Wulandari

<p><em>Food preferences and self-regulated eating behaviors are believed to be influenced by early infant feeding practices. Children who are physically and mentally healthy can thrive. Early-life malnutrition can lead to stunting, wasting, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and other future health issues (Inamah et al., 2024). The stunting rate in Purworejo was 21.3% in 2022, an increase from 15.7% the previous year. However, the rate dropped to 20.6% in 2023, and 2024 data from the e-PPGBM system indicates a rate of 14.6% among 39,000 children under five. </em></p> <p><em>The Purworejo Regency Government has designated 16 villages as priority areas for stunting reduction in 2025. According to data from the Grabag Community Health Center (Puskesmas) from July 2025, there were 332 stunted children under five in the area, while 127 were classified as undernourished and 251 were underweight (Puskesmas Grabag, 2025). </em></p> <p><em>Efforts to prevent stunting in the Grabag Community Health Center's service area require educating mothers on improving their children's nutritional intake—specifically by providing complementary foods that appeal to the infants while ensuring a balanced diet that meets their nutritional needs.
