A birth companion is a person who provides support and assists in meeting the physical, psychological, and informational needs of women during labor and childbirth. Birth companions need to be prepared during pregnancy to enable them to perform their roles effectively. Preliminary survey results showed that 8 out of 10 pregnant women were not aware of the roles and benefits of birth companions. This community service activity aimed to improve pregnant women's knowledge regarding birth companion preparation as an effort to enhance childbirth readiness. The activity was conducted using a lecture method supported by leaflet media. The knowledge level of pregnant women was assessed using pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The results demonstrated an increase in pregnant women's knowledge scores regarding birth companions following the educational intervention. Through this activity, pregnant women are expected to be able to select appropriate birth companions and optimize the implementation of maternal classes by involving prospective birth companions. Consequently, birth companions are expected to possess adequate knowledge and skills to provide support during childbirth.
