PEMANTAUAN PERTUMBUHAN BAYI BALITA MELALUI KEGIATAN POSYANDU & PEMBERIAN KAPSUL VITAMIN A

Posyandu (Integrated Health Center) is a health information center for the community which is expected to be the spearhead for early detection of growth and development disorders in babies and toddlers. The aim of this activity is to monitor the growth of babies and toddlers through posyandu activities and providing Vitamin A capsules. Community service activities are carried out in Janti Village, Polanharjo, Klaten Regency. The targets were babies and toddlers who arrived at the posyandu on October 11 2023, a total of 130 respondents. The methods used are 1) Identifying the child's condition through anamnesis with the parents, 2) Measuring height and weight, 3) Interpreting the results of measuring the child's height and weight into the WHO curve, 4) Conveying the measurement results to parents, 5) Providing education to parents about stunting starting from understanding, causes, signs, how to prevent and how to overcome it as well as providing leaflets about stunting. The results of the posyandu activities, respondents in this activity were 130 babies and toddlers, the majority of respondents were toddlers aged 12-59 months as many as 107 people (82.3%), male gender (56.2%) and normal nutritional status (79, 2%). The majority of mothers brought MCH books to the posyandu (96.9%). All babies aged ≥ 6 months and toddlers receive Vitamin A capsules (100%). Delivery of information on weighing results and education on the importance of vitamin A is carried out verbally to parents/instructors.
